For many years I have seen the Canadian dime and noticed the boat but had no idea it is the Bluenose which is right here in Lunenburg. It is months away from getting a makeover and hitting the water for another legendary voyage.

It is early morning in Lunenburg as the town of a little over 2,300 begins to wake up and enjoy a sunny day. Artists are seen everywhere painting images of the local sights. The clip clop of horse-drawn carriages echoes through the streets. It's like going back in time!

In 1995, Lunenburg got its UNESCO designation and residents and visitors are reminded of that on an eight-foot bronze monument at Lunenburg Foundry.
